Terms of Service
Last updated: 23 May 2026
1. Agreement
These terms govern your use of the School Dashboard service ("the Service") provided at app.schooldashboard.uk. By signing in, you agree to be bound by them. If you are accepting on behalf of a school, you confirm you have authority to do so.
2. The Service
School Dashboard is a software-as-a-service platform that lets schools manage detentions, behaviour points, seating plans, stakeholder surveys and inclusion analytics. Specific features and limits are described on www.schooldashboard.uk and may evolve over time.
3. Accounts and access
Schools nominate an administrator who is responsible for inviting and removing user accounts. Each user is responsible for keeping their password (or their school's Microsoft Entra credentials) confidential and for any activity carried out under their account. Notify us immediately at security@schooldashboard.uk if you suspect unauthorised access.
4. School-owned data
All data the school uploads or generates within the Service — pupil records, behaviour events, surveys, settings — remains the property of the school. We process this data only on the school's instructions, as set out in our Privacy Policy and in the processing agreement signed at onboarding. Schools may export their data at any time from within the admin area.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- upload data you do not have a lawful basis to process;
- attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape or interfere with the Service or its underlying infrastructure;
- use the Service to send unsolicited communications, malware or unlawful content;
- share login credentials between staff members, or allow pupils to log in as staff.
6. Availability
We aim for 99.5% monthly availability outside scheduled maintenance. Maintenance windows are notified in advance and where possible scheduled outside UK school hours. We are not liable for downtime caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control (DDoS, upstream provider outage, force majeure).
7. Fees
Fees are agreed per school in a separate order form. Invoices are issued annually in advance unless otherwise agreed. Late payment may result in suspension after 30 days' written notice.
8. Termination
Either party may terminate the contract by giving 30 days' written notice before the end of a billing period. We may suspend the Service immediately if you materially breach these terms, with the opportunity to remedy within 14 days. On termination, the school may export its data within 30 days; thereafter data is deleted as described in our Privacy Policy.
9. Liability
Our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the Service is limited to the fees paid by the school in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under English law (including death or personal injury caused by negligence, and fraud).
10. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified to the school's nominated administrator at least 30 days before they take effect.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
